Adire and Tye/Dye is one and the same. Adire is the Yoruba languge while tie and dye is the English language, this textile is the indigo – dyed cloth made in southwestern part of Nigeria by Yoruba women, who makes use of a variety of resist – dyeing techniques, and the style trend is back.
Over the decade, we have seen a transition of this print from just the one color print to a variety of two or more colors in one print. This print can be sewn or designed in form of shirt, skirts, dresses and any other style you can think of and it can also be worn by both male and female.
